This software will provide an enhanced ability to estimate quantities and develop preliminary design concepts on projects that you want to take a little farther than normal. Some of the nice features are: the ability to easily download aerial photography and terrain for the project area, ability to import GIS data, ability to export alignments and profiles for use in GEOPAK as the starting point for design work and a visualization model is produced automatically.

Power GEOPAK SS4 Introduction to Bentley Drainage

The Bentley Drainage application is a comprehensive system that allows for the designing and analyzing storm drain systems. The projects created in Drainage may contain multiple drainage networks with each compromised of any number of connected drainage areas, inlets, manholes, pipes, and ditches. The workflow for Drainage mirrors the conventional design process beginning with the design of the collection system (inlets, manholes, drainage areas) followed by the design of the conveyance system (subsurface pipes, channels).

Introduction to ArcGIS

This three-day course introduces participants to ArcGIS and provides the foundation for becoming a successful user of ArcMap and MoDOT data. The course covers fundamental GIS concepts as well as how to create, edit, and work with georeferenced spatial data. Participants learn how to manipulate tabular data, query a GIS database, and present data clearly and efficiently using maps and charts.

Goals:
• Work with spatial data on MoDOT servers
• Display feature and tabular data in ArcMap
• Query the data for feature locations and information
• Find features using location and spatial relationships
• Edit spatial and attribute data to meet project requirements
• Join and relate tables to enhance data
